So last thursday I finally was brave enough to chop my hair off, and I mean chop it off!!! After a long time considering and debating I decided to donate my hair to Locks Of Love, a great charity that makes hair pieces for children that have permanently lost their hair.
This picture was taken about 4 months ago, so my hair was a bit longer, but it is the best one that shows the front.
So I made the appointment and off I went to See Emma, my very sweet hairstylist. So as usual she, "So what are we doing today?" To which I said, "I am cutting it off." She was shocked and almost refused to do the deed, but when I told her that I was going to donate it she was happy..well willing to cut my hair for me. She measured at least 10 times and then was about to start, she look terrified. I asked if she was nervous and she said, "Yes, I am so nervous, I am sweating." I reassured her that she would de a fabulous job and that I had confidence in her.
The before shots, wow my hair is soooo long, and this is after being up in a braid all day, so if it was straight it would be even longer.
She began cutting the 10.5 inches off, and putting it into my hand, I was...to say the least shocked at how short my hair was. WOW that is a lot of hair just in case you didn't know. And I mean...a lot!!! WOW. NO backing out now I thought.
So this is the ponytail that was mailed off to Locks Of Love, over 10.5 inches....
ONce the hair was cut off it was time to style what was left. THis is when Emma relaxed and was in her element. NOw I was the one who was a bit nervous...would it look okay? I sure hope so!!!
Well I think it turned out pretty well. WHat do you think?
It is the shortest I have ever had my hair, but It is fun and so different. I think I will keep it short for awhile.
